Methodi Stoyanov Kutev was born in Sofia in 1925. As a student he danced in the troupe of Boris Tsonev.

He graduated from higher education. Methodi Kutev is an artist - balletist at the National Opera from 1946 to 1960

In the period 1950 - 1960 he was a choreographer of the Ensemble of Building Troops, and from 1960 to 1990 he was Chief Balletmaster at the Bulgarian National Army Ensemble for Songs and Dances.
